"He trained us to think, to glean inferences, string them together, and form a coherent insight."
Niall sir was my English Language and Literature teacher for a cumulative of only three years, which is incongruously short for a mentor who has left such a lasting impact on my life.
I first met Niall sir when I was in fifth grade, and he had been invited by our teacher to come down and take a masterclass on slam poetry. I was immediately struck – even more than seeing an Irishman in Ahmedabad – by the breadth and intensity of his passion. He brought to bear on rhyming schemes and rhythm the same verve he embodied as a sports coach and football player. Niall sir was as enthusiastic teaching a class of ten-year-olds as he was conducting a session with the high school football team or orchestrating a literary discussion about Shakespeare.
It wasn’t until eighth grade that I was truly a member of Niall sir’s class, when five classmates and I joined the ninth grade Literature class. And, without fail, after every session we would file out the classroom excitedly discussing just how great the class had been...
He steered our literature class to have the most animated discussions about Shakespeare and knew how to turn around a seemingly boring piece of text into something we would excitedly deconstruct for hours at a stretch.

Niall Sir stayed up nights and checked each and every piece I sent his way and replied with an in-depth analysis of where I did well and where I needed to work further. He was a great mentor and I would love to sit in his classes again.

Each class he conducted took several hours of planning and his pedagogy was smart, innovative and effective. He also invested time in giving detailed feedback, and was equally proactive in looking for feedback himself.

We identified my weaknesses and Niall sir provided me with a lot of resources to improve those areas in particular. He taught me the values of discipline and hard work and how important those are to reach your potential.

I was taught that if I wasn't giving my 110% then it would be a waste of mine and everyone else's time to try. I can whole-heartedly vouch for an unmatched learning experience with someone who enjoys teaching anyone who's willing to learn!

Niall Sir is hands down one of the best teachers I’ve had. In the three years that I was taught by him, the thing that stood out to me the most is how passionate he is and how he manages to transfer the same passion into his students.

His classes often contained several fun mediums – like television episodes and games – that allowed him to reach every student in the class without compromising the quality of education he was imparting to us.

Every single one of his sessions was different from the other, and I don’t remember ever leaving an English class disappointed. This is because each session had a unique way to teach not only different topics, but the same topic as well.

Choosing Niall as an online mentor for my son has been one of my best decisions and I would highly recommend him. He not only teaches your child but also helps them to become a better person. Calling him a teacher is not enough, he is a mentor (which are rare to find these days).

Niall is the true sense of a teacher - one who can tap onto a student's strong points, work on the weak points and impart confidence in one's own ability. The online coaching with Niall has given my daughter the belief she can do it, so much so that she has opted for English at A level!
